On Saturday, January 19th, the Alpha Alpha Chapter at Purdue University partnered with the Colombian Student Association at Purdue and the Purdue Salsa Club to hold Risas y Ritmo. Those in attendance got to enjoy food and live music, and learn about some of the multicultural organizations on Purdue’s campus.
This event started with dinner catered by a local restaurant, Taco Rico, and continued with a dance lesson from the Purdue Salsa Club. DJ Cool Carlos and a live band, Carpacho y su Combo, were on hand to provide dance music for the guests to practice their new salsa skills.
Congratulations to the Alpha Alpha Chapter on hosting a successful event, and sharing a cultural experience with the Purdue Community! The SLBEF is proud to support events like Ritmo y Comunidad in promoting cultural awareness.
