The Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation (SLBEF) is proud to announce that we have finalized a historic agreement with Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. (SLBIF). Going forward, the SLBEF will act as the Fiscal Sponsor for the SLBIF.
Fiscal sponsorship is the practice of non-profit organizations offering their legal and tax-exempt status to groups engaged in activities related to the sponsoring organization’s mission. The fiscal sponsor agreement reached clarifies an approach that allows SLBIF to pursue large grants and contribution opportunities for educational programming, while providing the funding organization(s) the benefit of a tax deduction.
“This is a great step forward!” stated SLBEF Chair, Founding Father Ricardo Zamudio. “Being the Fiscal Sponsor for Sigma Lambda Beta makes obvious sense and is in direct alignment with the mission of the Foundation. We hope this will increase the number of opportunities as well as likelihood of success as the Director of Donor Development pursues large dollar funding for educational programming.”
