The Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation is proud to announce Brother Anthony Sanchez from the Zeta Chapter at the University of Michigan as a recipient of the 2023 Opportunity for Wisdom scholarship. Brother Anthony will be able to apply this $1000 scholarship towards his college expenses. Please read his letter and view his message below.
To the donors of the Sigma Lambda Beta Education Foundation,
I am beyond grateful to be a recipient of the Opportunity for Wisdom Scholarship of 2023. As a brother, I am constantly committed to fulfilling the pillars of the organization, and I am completely invested in my educational pursuit. I am fortunate to see that scholarships like these exist to highlight the brothers who are constantly upholding our values.
As an out-of-state, third-year undergraduate at the University of Michigan, my tuition and fees have drastically increased and have caused some stress on my ability to pay it off. However, thanks to this scholarship, the stress has eased. This has allowed me to enter the upcoming year with a step in the right direction!
I am currently obtaining my B.S. in Political Science as well as a minor in Public Policy. I am also on a pre-medical track in hopes that I will one day be a practicing physician that is also invested in healthcare policy-making! The donors in the Education Foundation have allowed me to get closer to this ultimate end goal!
Once again, I want to thank the organization for helping me with these financial hurdles! I hope that I can spread the message of hard work and positivity with the brotherhood and continuously support the efforts of the organization through leadership and passion!
